Mojotic festival
August sees the return of the Mojotic Festival in the beautiful setting of Sestri Levante: we open the dances with Silent Disco at the beginning of the month to continue with the hottest names in international independent music.
Now in its 13th year, Mojotic was born in Sestri Levante in 2005 and quickly became synonymous with the summer festival, growing in importance year after year. Thanks to the choice of music, the beauty of the surrounding area and the passion of the area’s young organizers, Mojotic soon became one of the best-known independent festivals in Italy and Europe.
Concerts organized in the most diverse locations such as clubs, theaters, bays, beaches, convents and parks, an eclectic and high quality musical proposal, bands from the Italian and world indie scene that with their energy have contributed to make the summer stars of Sestri Levante shine.
From the Mojotic project comes Silent disco, an event that combines entertainment and live dance by raising awareness of noise pollution issues. Metaphorically set in the Bay of Silence, Silent disco invites everyone to dance to the tracks of the most famous DJs while wearing luminous headphones to flood the night with neon lights without giving off sounds and vibrations harmful to the environment. An extraordinary idea capable of attracting attention and audiences from all over Italy, becoming a national model.
THE LINE UP OF THE Mojotic festival 2023 includes Black country, new road, the BDRMM and Bouquet of madness who with their bewitching and evocative sounds will enrich the glimpses of the bay with unforgettable nuances.
